主要学习及工作简历

       1972年在法兰克福大学获得物理学博士学位后，1975年起任职于德国宇航中心，1995年获物理学博士学位。2004年起Guenther Reitz担任DLR航天医学研究所放射生物学系主任，2015年6月退休后担任部门顾问。

       早年曾以合作者身份参与了阿波罗-联合号测试项目中的生物模块实验，其实验方法可以将辐射生物学效应分为多个单一重离子辐射效应。迄今为止，他以项目负责人或主要研究人员身份主持并完成了包括美俄空间站和国际空间站在内的多次航天试验中的空间辐射及其生物学效应研究项目，同时他也是首次火星表面辐射测量研究项目辐射评估探测器(MSL-RAD)的共同研究员。
