It is inevitable to produce amounts of radioactive wastes during nuclear fuel cycle. Among these wastes, there are some radionuclides with high radiotoxicity or long-life, inducing potential risk towards human being and environment. A good separation strategy is believed to solve this problem. Our center is devoted to develop novel separation methods to remove radionuclides in term of fast, efficient, and green concepts. Our research interests include: 1) Separation of radionuclides using crystallization method based on mild discrepancy between each other in the crystal structures; 2) Separation of radionuclides using adsorption method based on the functionalized polymer or silica materials; 3) Separation of radionuclides using ion exchange method based on the novel crystal framework materials.
