D. Synergistic Activities
1. Established and Director of the UC Santa Cruz X-rayCrystallography Facility, funded by two NSF-MRI grants, 2006 – present.
2. 88 undergraduate researchers in the group to date,including 26 summer undergraduate fellowship recipients from NSF REU, NSF DMRSSMC and minority outreach programs: NIH ACCESS, NIH IMSD, NIH MARC and NSFCAMP.
3. Reviewer for 70 chemistry and materials journals, manyNSF programs (DMR, CHE,
CAREER), DOE BES, ACS PRF, Research Corporation.
4.Expanded the graduate curriculum at UC Santa Cruz, with new courses,experiments and instrumentation demos in Materials Chemistry, InorganicChemistry, Analytical Chemistry and X-ray Crystallography.
